Pistos (The Faithful / Trustworthy)

EN — Transliteration: Pistós

Pistos (πιστός) comes from the verb peitho (to convince, trust). It qualifies one who is trustworthy, reliable, loyal, and solid. In household management (oikonomia), it is the primary quality required of the servant.

📖 Réf. : Mt 25:21 | Lk 16:10 | 1 Cor 4:2 | 2 Tim 2:2 | Rev 2:10

Pistos describes relational and operational reliability. To be pistos is to be a secure anchor upon which the master and the community can lean.

⚓ The Solidity of Commitment

The NT insists that stewards of grace are expected to be found 'faithful' (pistos). This is not a matter of abstract dogmatic assent, but of concrete and constant uprightness in managing the ordinary details of life.
