🔬 The Pure Water of the Original Texts

Beauty and Favor: In classical Greek, charis designates that which causes joy and beauty. By extension, it is a favor granted freely, without constraint and without hope of return. It is the absolute opposite of debt.

An attitude, not a substance: Grace is not a "thing" that God distributes in drops. It is the benevolent and permanent disposition of God's mind toward humanity, His unconditional affection in motion.
